Farmhouse Crocks

Every Iowa Farmhouse had a crock or two for making pickles or sauerkraut. Now they are wonderful decorative additions... for storing wood by the fireplace, old papers, shoes. or use a glass top and it becomes a side coffee table.

Farmhouse Amish Quilts

These are Amish quilts that are on display at the Kalona Iowa museum. Years back our Quester club was treated to a lecture on these beautiful treasures.

One of my favorite building at the fair is the pavilion high on the hill. It houses all the wonderful contest like fiddling, hog calling, auctioning contest etc., plus antiques, old time crafts and other great treasures.
